Biography

Bo McLaughlin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and works predominantly in the ceramics medium. Bo completed her BFA degree with distinction at Tyler School of Art in 2014, majoring in ceramics with a minor in art history. During her time there, she was an active member and treasurer of the Tyler Ceramics Collective. Bo has received commissions from Philadelphia’s Laurel Hill Cemetery and has worked as an artist assistant to Jeanne Quinn and Nick Lenker. Her most recent solo exhibition, Eternal Return was at Impact Hub Philly. The themes in her work address the universal language of symbols, the power of myth, and the dichotomies of life. Bo lives and works in Philly’s lively arts community.
